2 Red Lake Code of Tribal Offenses to imprisonment for a period not to exceed thirty days or to a fine not to exceed $60.00 or to both such imprisonment and fine with cost. Section 29 - Failure to Observe Stop Signs and Posted Speed Zones Any Indian operator of a motor vehicle, who shall neglect or refuse to stop at all stop signs or before entering a trunk or main highway or fails to observe the posted speed zones upon the Red Lake Indian Reservation, shall be deemed guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a period not to exceed thirty days or to a fine not to exceed $60.00 or to both such imprisonment and fine with cost. Penalty imposed to be determined by the nature of the offense. Section 30 - Failure to Report an Accident Any Indian who is a driver of a vehicle involved in an accident on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, when there is injury or death of a person or property damage to an apparent extent of $100.00, shall make immediate report to the Superintendent or peace officer of the reservation, and in all other cases, within 24 hours; failure to make such report shall be deemed to be an offense and upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to imprisonment not to exceed sixty days or to a fine not to exceed $120.00 or to both such imprisonment and fine with cost. Penalty imposed to be determined by the nature of the offense. Section 31 - Leaving the Scene of an Accident Any Indian driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury or death of any person or property damage, who does not immediately stop and render to any person injured in such accident reasonable assistance, including the carrying of such person to a physician, surgeon or hospital for care and treat |
