Red Lake Code of Tribal Offenses
Section 25 - Extradition of Offenders
     Any Indian who resides upon, or comes to the Red Lake Indian Reservation, who is wanted in State Court or on another Indian Reservation for an offense, shall be charged under this section with the offense of being a fugitive from justice and upon conviction thereof, shall be held for and turned over to the State or other Reservation officer.  The evidence needed for conviction shall be that of a Warrant of arrest in the possession of the requesting officer.

Section 26 - Failure to Support Dependent Persons
     Any Indian who shall, because of habitual intemperance or gambling or for any other reason, refuse or neglect to furnish food, shelter, or care to those depending upon him, including any dependent children born out of wedlock, shall be deemed guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a period not to exceed three months, or to a fine not to exceed $180.00 or to both such imprisonment and fine with cost.  Penalty imposed to be determined by the nature of the offense.

Section 27 - Failure to send Children to School
     Any Indian who shall, without good cause, neglect or refuse to send his children or any children under his care, to school shall be deemed guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a period not to exceed ten days, or to a fine not to exceed $20.00 or to both such imprisonment and fine with cost.  The court may double the penalty for each additional offense.  Penalty imposed to be determined by the nature of the offense.

Section 28 - Failure to Pay Stumpage
     Any Indian who shall neglect or refuse to pay the required stumpage on any timber cut upon the Red Lake Indian Reservation, shall be deemed guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof shall be sentenced
