Hello

I just wanted to write and let you know my heart goes out to everyone there and affected by the shooting. We too have suffered a great loss back when columbine happened. I would hope it would never have happened again but I was wrong. I am here for anyone that needs to talk or wants to write please feel free to let them know they are all being thought of each moment of each day.. and yes pain does go away but it takes a long time

Subject: a note of sympathy

Dear Clara,

Sending unsollicited mail to an unknown person is not my style. And I  normally keep the emotions caused by world news items to myself. Feel free to hit the "delete" key now if you think I should have stuck to that practice.

The Red Lake drama was an item on the Dutch TV morning news. Then there was this intuition of a context such as you refer to in your Reflections of 1999-10-17:
"Many people at Red Lake and elsewhere remain trapped by the identities, values and definitions imposed on them by Euroamerican colonizers:..".
My intuition may be all wrong. I hope it is, in fact.

The gratitude for my exposure to bits of native american knowledge is, I suppose, what this time urges me to express my sympathy with those affected by the violence.

I hope that doesn't seem wrong to anyone.

Through Google and then reading RLNN and related sites, I came to Maquah, and felt you might understand this note of sympathy as it is meant.
And extend it to your relations.
