Clara NiiSka
is a human being and artist whose skills and
interests include Aboriginal Indigenous philosophy, writing,
publications production, website
design, research and investigative reporting, U.S. American Indian
policy and law, and teaching.
Education:

- Currently completing Ph.D. in
Social-Cultural Anthropology, University of Minnesota
(2005).
Clara NiiSka's MLS thesis,
entitled A Death in the Family, is an
emic examination of the colonial and postcolonial interface between the
United States and the Ahnishinahbæótjibway at Red Lake.
Her professional experience also includes two years as Managing Editor
and Reporter at the Native American Press/Ojibwe News,
extensive collaboration with Ahnishinahbæótjibway scholar Wub-e-ke-niew,
grassroots community work at Red Lake, multicultural curriculum
development and teaching, photojournalism,
and publications production.
Her publishing company, Maquah Publications, has designed and maintains
two websites, maquah.net
and Ojibwe.info.
Clara NiiSka currently resides in the United States, but is open to
relocation.
