Maple sugaring
time is almost
here—it’s time to start checking your taps, cleaning your kettles, and
getting
your wood supply ready to make a good healthy food.
We’ve
still been using that old method, of the four poles in the ground, with
a
fork. The old way of hauling sap, and
tapping the trees is just about gone—using wooden stakes.
We’re now using drills and tapping... we’re
using new methods now ...

1985.
